Kilimanjaro Climb – Marangu Route

Mt. Kilimanjaro has 3 volcanic cones and is the highest mountain in Africa at 5,895 meters above sea level. This Marangu route is the most popular and the easiest route. It is gradual and steady therefore making it less painful on the trek. It also offers a shorter acclimatization period. This route is also known as the coca-cola route as its accommodation is in the huts, which also serves beverages. The trek begins in the southeast of the mountain at Marangu gate & the descent takes the same route. It has the best trail in the rain forest combined with and great views of the Mawenzi. It is preferred by those want to spend less time on the mountain & do not mind crowds
